We are currently seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our Alternative Investment Platform Modernization group. This is a senior-level position requiring 10+ years of experience, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of our investment platform through comprehensive testing and automation strategies.
The role combines technical expertise in JavaScript, Java, and SQL with strategic quality assurance responsibilities. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including AWS services, Jenkins for CI/CD, and modern testing frameworks like JEST and Cucumber. The position offers an opportunity to work on an innovative investment platform while leading testing initiatives and improving quality processes.
As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, conducting API testing, performing database validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities For QA Engineer
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript (JEST) and Java (Cucumber)
- Conduct comprehensive API testing using tools like Insomnia and Postman
- Perform SQL queries for database testing and data integrity validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on testing requirements and test plans
- Utilize AWS services for testing environments and deployment automation
- Manage defects using JIRA
- Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Participate in requirements analysis
- Improve testing processes and best practices
Requirements For QA Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in software quality assurance
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript automation using JEST and Java automation using Cucumber
- Experience with API testing tools (Insomnia and Postman)
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based testing environments
- Proficiency in using JIRA for issue tracking
- Experience in managing Jenkins for CI/CD processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
