Description For Structural Engineer

DN Tanks is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in El Cajon, CA. The role involves executing designs and providing technical support for liquid storage tank projects. Key responsibilities include performing structural analysis, reviewing project requirements, communicating with stakeholders, and supporting field personnel. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 3-7 years of experience, and be proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design of new tank structures and rehabilitation/retrofit of existing tank structures
  • Review project requirements, plans, specifications, building codes and standards
  • Communicate and coordinate with consultant engineers, suppliers and construction teams
  • Provide timely communication and reliable support to field personnel
  • Perform periodic design compliance inspections on project sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; minor or emphasis in structural engineering
  • Masters in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • 3 - 7 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Experience supporting Construction a plus
  • Self-motivated, driven personality
  • Limited travel required
  • Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD
