We are seeking multiple First Engineers for Canadian Flagged Offshore Support Vessels supporting operations on the Grand Banks starting Q1 2025. The position operates on a 28-day rotation schedule and requires a passionate, motivated seafarer who excels in collaboration with both offshore and onshore teams.
As First Engineer, you'll report to the Vessel Chief Engineer and be responsible for managing mechanical installations, maintenance, and repair work. The role demands strong leadership in conducting Risk Assessments and maintaining crucial documentation like Engine Logbooks and Oil Record Books. You'll need extensive experience with diesel electric and hybrid propulsion systems, along with comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess Transport Canada Second Class Engineer Motor Ship certification, various maritime safety certifications, and demonstrated experience in offshore vessel operations. Strong technical expertise combined with excellent communication and organizational skills is essential.
