They are currently recruiting First Engineers for Canadian Flagged Offshore Support Vessels supporting operations on the Grand Banks starting Q1 2025. The position operates on a 28-day rotation schedule and requires a motivated seafarer passionate about maritime careers.
The First Engineer reports to the Vessel Chief Engineer and is responsible for managing mechanical installations, maintenance, and repairs aboard the ship. Key responsibilities include daily operations management, maintenance work, leading risk assessments, and ensuring proper documentation.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical qualifications including Transport Canada Second Class Engineer Motor Ship certification and relevant marine engineering education. Experience with offshore support vessels, particularly with diesel electric and hybrid propulsion systems, is essential. The role demands excellent leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations.
