Description For ROV Senior Pilot Technician (Sub Engineer)

DOF APAC has a casual opportunity for a ROV Sub Engineer to complete a 28 day roster cycle on the Skandi Hercules. As an ROV Sub Engineer in DOF, you will have the chance to deliver your knowledge and collaborate with our experienced and passionate ROV team. Successful applicants will have experience working in a Marine Offshore environment, including Work Class ROV Systems preferably with (XLX).

This is a temporary position starting in early December, with a remote 28-day rostered cycle. The role requires experience with ROV systems (XLX) and is suitable for an experienced Pilot Technician II/ROV Sub Engineer.

Key Requirements:

  • 2 years offshore experience in ROV operations or relevant experience as a ROV Sub Engineer and/or Pilot Technician II with 100hrs Piloting competency
  • Relevant degree qualifications and/or recognised Australian technical trade certification
  • Experience with ROV World Class systems, particularly XLXs
  • AMSA Medical, BOSIET CAEBS, and MISC certifications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable and resilient approach to work remotely and manage offshore vessel demands
