Electrical Engineer - Autonomy & Robotics

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash working on building autonomous delivery robots and automation solutions for DoorDash's core delivery platform. As an Electrical Engineer in the Autonomy & Robotics team, you will help build the next generation of robotic systems from the ground up. You'll work with an excellent engineering team to solve novel problems that will drastically change last mile logistics.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and manufacturing a new autonomous delivery robot platform
• Working with Hardware Engineering and Technician teams to prepare for launch
• Architecting and designing a wide range of electrical systems for next-generation delivery robots
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

• A B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of industry experience, especially in autonomous vehicle/automotive industries
• Experience in PCB design, DC power management systems, automotive applications
• Knowledge of various communication protocols (ethernet/PCIe/USB/MIPI/GMSL2/SPI/I2C)
• Experience with RF and antenna systems, harness design, electric vehicle safety systems
• Skills in designing and troubleshooting complex systems
• Experience with contract manufacturers and scaling hardware designs
• Proficiency in Altium Designer/Allegro Cadence
• A passion for building robots and autonomous vehicles
