Description For Full Stack Application Engineer, GTM Technology

The GTM Technology team at DoorDash enables the productivity of sales and go-to-market organizations through intelligent workflows, reliable data, and scalable systems. They partner with groups across the company including Product, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Analytics to build critical systems and enable the business to move faster. This team builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for customer offerings and grows revenue across business lines.

As a Full Stack Application Engineer on the GTM Technology team, your mission will be to transform GTM applications, empowering business scale, efficiency, and compliance. You will drive technical designs and execution with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering. Execution will involve full stack technologies, microservices, database designs, object-oriented programming, knowledge of AWS infrastructure, and building automations using third-party platforms such as Salesforce and Mulesoft.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on cutting-edge business problems and providing creative, scalable technical solutions using first-party (full stack + AWS) or third-party platforms like Salesforce.
  • Partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful projects for DoorDash GTM and improve sales/onboarding and merchant experience.
  • Problem-solving in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Juggling multiple projects and deliverables while keeping tight and ever-changing deadlines.
  • Developing automations/integrations using third-party applications such as Salesforce and Mulesoft.
  • Mentoring team members to upskill and help prioritize their workload with clear plans and milestones.
  • Being the advisor for the team's tech stack by partnering with broader engineering leadership.
  • Building the vision and strategy for the team by understanding customer problems and influencing the roadmap.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a seasoned full-stack engineer with a track record of building scalable distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, Node.JS, and declarative frontend UI frameworks such as React.
  • Proficiency in Java/Python, Git, gRPC/RESTful API design, deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and scaling system performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
