Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision

DoorDash is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Computer Vision to join their team. This role is crucial in developing cutting-edge Computer Vision models that power DoorDash's growing grocery and retail business.

As a Computer Vision expert, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and validating algorithmic improvements to the computer vision system. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and real-time capabilities of DoorDash's product knowledge graph and inventory information, as well as improve Dasher efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing production machine learning solutions for consumer vision problems such as entity recognition, object detection, segmentation, and classification.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape a product roadmap driven by machine learning.
• Exploring diverse data sources and fostering a culture of flexible experimentation to improve shopping and dashing experiences.
• Innovating with cutting-edge AI and ML technologies to drive technical advancements in the computer vision space.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Industry experience in developing and shipping ML solutions to production with business impact.
• Deep expertise in applied Computer Vision, solving challenging vision-related problems.
• Strong machine learning and programming skills, particularly in Python and key ML frameworks.
• M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative field (preferred).
• Familiarity with causal inference and experimentation techniques.
