Senior Staff Engineer, Data Platform

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for their Data Platform team. As a Senior Staff engineer, you will be responsible for the most critical long-term technical roadmap of the organization. You'll guide engineers and management on technical choices, mentor senior engineers, and maintain a high bar of technical competency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building data-intensive solutions used across the company
• Driving the engineering vision, strategy, and execution for multiple teams
• Mentoring and guiding a fast-growing organization
• Making architectural decisions and handling build vs. buy choices
• Collaborating with stakeholders, external partners, and peer data leaders

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems for large-scale data applications
• Experience in building data products and abstractions on infrastructure
• Familiarity with a range of large-scale data systems and technologies
