As a Senior Front-End Engineer at DoubleVerify, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining the front-end experience of our websites. Your expertise in website performance, UX, and data visualization will be instrumental in planning, developing, and designing our products. As a senior team member, you'll research and leverage new technologies, contribute to technical architecture, and uphold platform standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new components and applications in OpenSlate's React-based UI system
- Creating templates, configuration, and other web application framework artifacts
- Collaborating on back-end API services integration and design
- Implementing advanced UI and data visualizations using CSS, markup, and Javascript
- Researching and integrating 3rd party CSS and Javascript frameworks
- Organizing code and assets efficiently
- Applying best practices for code readability and reuse
- Managing code changes and version control
- Measuring and testing new and refactored code
- Collaborating on software development processes and team goals
- Working closely with design, product development, and senior management

Responsibilities For Senior Front-End Engineer
- Developing new components and applications in OpenSlate's React-based UI system
- Creating templates, configuration, and other artifacts of the web application framework
- Collaborating with other members of the Engineering team on the integration of and design of back-end API services
- Authoring CSS, markup and Javascript required to implement advanced UI and data visualizations
- Researching and integrating 3rd party CSS and Javascript frameworks when appropriate
- Organizing code and assets in a sane and responsible way
- Applying contemporary best practices to how code is written and formatted, with an eye towards readability and reuse
- Managing code changes and version control to adhere to industry and company standards
- Measuring and testing the function and performance of new and refactored code
- Collaborating with Technical Management in developing sustainable and robust software development processes and accomplishing team goals
- Collaborating closely with design, product development and senior management in the planning and operation of our products
Requirements For Senior Front-End Engineer
- Mastery building advanced user interfaces using contemporary browser-based technologies
- 5+ years experience building with React or other similar frameworks
- Expertise utilizing different techniques to marshall data from a back-end source
- Expertise building complex data visualizations using D3 or other libraries
- Expertise building websites within the Django web framework
- Ability to break down complex application behavior into smaller discrete functions
- Application of appropriate strategies in testing, debugging and profiling code
- Planning, estimating and organizing work
- Excellent communication skills
- Maintaining and growing knowledge of contemporary and evolving front-end technologies
