DrBalcony is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join their team in a full-time, on-site capacity in Orange, California. The role focuses on conducting inspections of existing wood framing structures and generating comprehensive inspection reports. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in wood construction practices, building codes, and structural integrity assessments.

The position involves conducting thorough site inspections, analyzing structural integrity, preparing detailed reports, and consulting with clients. You'll be responsible for evaluating wood framing conditions, identifying structural issues, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. The role requires both field work for inspections and office work for report preparation.

Responsibilities For Junior Civil Engineer

  • Perform thorough site inspections of existing wood framing to assess condition, stability, and compliance with building codes
  • Identify signs of damage, deterioration, or structural issues
  • Evaluate the structural integrity of wood framing, including load-bearing elements and connections
  • Assess compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards
  • Create detailed reports summarizing inspection findings, including photographs, diagrams, and recommendations
  • Discuss findings with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure all reports and inspections are documented in accordance with industry standards
  • Maintain knowledge of current building codes and best practices related to wood framing

Requirements For Junior Civil Engineer
