Description For Senior Analytics Engineer
DriveWealth is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own and maintain reports and underlying data marts for business reporting. The ideal candidate should be excited about working closely with cross-functional partners to interpret and clarify requirements, and architect efficient and usable data outputs. This role requires balancing competing priorities and laying the groundwork for scale while building first-class data products.
The Data & Analytics team at DriveWealth creates data products that provide access to relevant data and insights to help customers succeed. The team focuses on creating, maintaining, and monitoring curated data sources and statistics used both by internal partners and external customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining data marts used internally and by DriveWealth's customers
- Ensuring consistent and accurate outputs through efficient code with testing and verification
- Partnering across product and engineering to translate data questions into final requirements
- Working with the broader data & analytics team to ideate, build, and maintain "self-service" data products
- Establishing an open and scalable data culture through documentation and clear explanations
- Acting as a data evangelist on data quality and testing
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience solving data problems with business partners
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent program
- Fluent in SQL and Python
- Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation
- Familiarity with GitHub, Agile development, and CI/CD environments
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with financial market and trading concepts
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and/or AWS
- Experience with data visualization, reporting tools, and Sigma computing
- Experience with Airflow DAGs, Databricks Workflows, or other orchestration services
