Developer Experience Engineer

DRW is seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to join their team in Chicago. This dynamic role blends end-to-end service ownership, development work, and support for the wider software engineering community at DRW. You'll be responsible for providing mission-critical services, navigating build challenges, refining observability systems, and building great developer workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with leaders, trading teams, and developers across the company
• Taking ownership of services and products provided by the Developer Experience team
• Investigating and resolving complex systems or build issues
• Working in a hybrid infrastructure environment using infra-as-code patterns
• Educating users on tools and maintaining high-quality documentation

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Proficiency in handling tasks from troubleshooting low-level OS issues to architecting robust artifact storage solutions
• Experience with CI/CD, debugging complex systems, and managing Linux systems
• 5+ years of development experience in languages like Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
