Responsibilities For Platform Support Engineer - IBM MQ and RabbitMQ

Provide expert support for IBM MQ and RabbitMQ platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MQ systems and message brokers
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to messaging, including connectivity, performance, and security
Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks
Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve message flow and system reliability
Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices related to MQ and RabbitMQ configurations
Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for messaging services
Stay current with the latest developments in messaging technologies and related tools
Engage in mentoring junior team members on best practices and troubleshooting methodologies

Requirements For Platform Support Engineer - IBM MQ and RabbitMQ

Kubernetes

Python

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience working with IBM MQ and RabbitMQ
In-depth knowledge of messaging protocols and patterns
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a complex system environment
Experience with cloud environments and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Familiarity with scripting and configuration languages such as Ansible, wsadmin, Python, rundeck, etc. (Nice to have)
Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring technologies is a plus (Nice to have)
Familiarity with CI/CD technologies as Jenkins, Git, Github actions, etc. (Nice to have)
Knowledge of IBM Websphere Application Server, Websphere Liberty, IBM Http Server, Weblogic, Tomcat and Rabbit MQ advantageous (Nice to have)
Experience in containerized environments such as Docker, Openshift, or Kubernetes (Nice to have)
