Description For Cloud Engineer

Dun & Bradstreet, a 184-year-old global data company with 6,000+ employees across 31 countries, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on their AWS platform, focusing on building and enhancing their Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform that serves International Business lines outside the USA.

The position requires an experienced software engineer with strong platform building and AWS cloud expertise. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology stack in a hybrid environment, supporting and developing world-class software delivery capabilities. The role involves working with various tools including Terraform Cloud, GitHub Enterprise, Artifactory, and various CI/CD tools.

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing large multi-system AWS environments, implementing automation, ensuring reliability, and enabling developer productivity. You'll work closely with internal application development teams, participating in code reviews, and helping to establish best practices for resilience, security, and monitoring.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of infrastructure operations experience, strong Linux expertise, and proven experience with AWS. Knowledge of Python, Kubernetes, and various database technologies is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills as you'll be working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Cloud Engineer

  • Work on large multi-system AWS environment with developer enablement tooling
  • Serve as software engineering for integration, automation, reliability, monitoring, and operations
  • Facilitate platform integration requirements
  • Document and implement patterns for resilience, availability, security, monitoring and alerting
  • Maintain and optimize cloud platform tooling including Terraform Cloud, GitHub Enterprise, Artifactory, CICD
  • Keep systems stable, up to date and cost efficient
  • Participate in pull-request code and document reviews
  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders and product teams

Requirements For Cloud Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related technical field
  • 5 years of infrastructure operations experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with Linux systems in production
  • 3+ years working with AWS
  • Experience in Python3 and Shell scripting
  • Strong Kubernetes experience
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines
  • Mature software and IaC development practices
  • Strong incident management experience
  • Knowledge of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, ElasticSearch
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
