Senior Mobile Engineer

EarnIn, a pioneer in earned wage access, is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join their Product Engineering team in Vancouver, Canada. As one of the first innovators in providing real-time financial flexibility for those living paycheck to paycheck, EarnIn offers a platform where community members can access their earnings as they earn them, with options to spend, save, and grow their money without mandatory fees, interest rates, or credit checks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, particularly with Kotlin and either iOS or Android architectures. You'll be responsible for developing product features, architecting mobile infrastructure, collaborating with backend engineers, establishing best practices, mentoring the team, and analyzing feature effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing product features to enhance customer experience
• Architecting and refining mobile infrastructure for improved scalability
• Collaborating with backend engineers on API design
• Leading the establishment of engineering best practices
• Mentoring the mobile engineering team
• Designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies
• Analyzing feature effectiveness using advanced analytics

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with expertise in reactive and functional programming
• Deep understanding of iOS or Android application architectures
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience in mobile development
• Experience with iOS development, backend development, or cross-platform frameworks is advantageous
