Description For Senior Data Engineer

Ebury, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Platform Engineering team in Málaga. As part of Ebury's strategic growth plan, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Ebury's Data Warehouse.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing performance monitoring for data processing and analysis
  • Participating in data modeling reviews
  • Reducing technical debt
  • Implementing data governance policies
  • Collaborating with data scientists and stakeholders
  • Automating data processes
  • Evaluating and integrating new data tools
  • Creating and maintaining documentation
  • Reinforcing best practices across the platform

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with modern data stack tools
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Understanding of data governance practices
  • Experience with software engineering practices in data
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus)
