Cloud File Storage Engineer

Egen is seeking a Cloud File Storage Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on developing scalable file storage solutions for cloud-based High Performance Computing (HPC) platforms. This role combines traditional parallel filesystem expertise with modern cloud-native storage solutions.

The position requires a deep understanding of AWS services, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines. As a Cloud File Storage Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and maintaining storage infrastructure supporting life sciences research initiatives. You'll work closely with computational scientists and engineers to ensure robust, scalable solutions capable of handling complex computational workloads.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable storage environments, managing infrastructure as code, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring platform reliability. The role requires expert-level proficiency in POSIX file systems, storage platforms like Lustre or GPFS, and cloud storage services.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams. This is a fully remote position requiring alignment with US West Coast working hours (9-5pm PST/PDT).
