As a Senior Engineering Manager at Egen, you will be responsible for guiding talented Staff Software Engineers and Product Analysts, collaborating with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements, and devising technical roadmaps to drive project success. Your key responsibilities will include team leadership, continuous improvement initiatives, technical strategy development, and technical oversight.
You will lead agile teams in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of full-stack solutions encompassing web, mobile apps, APIs, data pipelines, cloud-native frameworks, and various cloud providers. Your role will involve translating business requirements into technical deliverables, managing inter-team dependencies, and maintaining effective communication with external stakeholders, including clients.
Technical expertise is crucial in this role. You'll collaborate with Architects and Staff SEs/Team Leads on software system design reviews, provide technical oversight to ensure the development of reliable and maintainable platforms, and offer guidance on best practices for modern architectures. Additionally, you'll architect and build cloud-optimized data solutions on hyper scalars such as AWS, GCP, and Databricks.
Team development is a key aspect of this position. You'll mentor and guide Team Leads in their professional and technical growth, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and experimentation with cutting-edge technologies. You'll also work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to attract top engineering talent and build diverse high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Master's degree is a plus), proven experience in leading multiple engineering teams, strong technical expertise in full-stack development and cloud technologies, and excellent communication skills.
