Description For DevOps Engineer

Element is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their mission of transforming government service delivery through technology and innovation. As a HUBZone-certified consulting partner, Element specializes in creating meaningful user experiences for government customers, particularly in healthcare services.

The role involves working on an enterprise platform that impacts millions of Americans' healthcare experience. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary, agile team, primarily working remotely with occasional on-site work (less than 10%). The position requires expertise in AWS infrastructure, security, and automation, with a focus on building and maintaining fully automated infrastructure solutions.

Key technical areas include AWS environment migration, infrastructure-as-code, container technologies, and security implementation. You'll work alongside DevSecOps Engineers, Full Stack Software Engineers, and Data professionals, using tools like AWS CDK, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS services.

The ideal candidate will have strong collaborative skills and a passion for learning new technologies. Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer

  • Perform migration of infrastructure from one AWS environment to another
  • Build and maintain infrastructure solution that is 100% automation of operations
  • Design, code, test, debug, deploy and document software in an agile environment
  • Tackle technical problems
  • Work with DevSecOps Engineers, Full Stack Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts

Requirements For DevOps Engineer

Kubernetes
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of application development experience
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Strong core Linux networking, shell scripting, and administration skills
  • Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure security and IAM privilege management
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure components
  • Experience in security aspects of cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with automated unit testing
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
  • Must reside in the Continental US
