Responsibilities For Water Resource Engineer or Scientist

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Lead field work around surface water and groundwater
  • Manage surface water and groundwater data coordination between different groups
  • Manage and supervise water models development and use
  • Support water strategy definition for expansion project
  • Lead water infrastructure design
  • Coordinate with local and regional groups
  • Complete contract management
  • Collaborate with government agencies, Indigenous groups, and local communities
  • Support permitting applications and regulatory submissions
  • Plan and complete capital budgets for water projects

Requirements For Water Resource Engineer or Scientist

  • Degree in Engineering or Science (environment, civil, geochemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, or related field)
  • Minimum three years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience in project management and delivery
  • Experience leading water management programs and risk evaluation
  • Technical knowledge of federal and provincial mining water practices
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Experience with Water Models (GoldSim, Groundwater Vista)
  • Eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (asset)
