ELPEDISON, Greece's pioneering independent energy utility, is seeking an Energy Management Portfolio Engineer to join their digital transformation initiative. The role involves managing the company's portfolio in natural gas and power spot markets, requiring expertise in market analysis, forecasting, and real-time trading. You'll be responsible for executing short-term forecasting, monitoring market conditions, and optimizing trading strategies across Day Ahead, Intraday, and Balancing markets.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the Electric Power sector, strong analytical capabilities, and expertise in data analysis. A BSc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Applied Economics is required, along with advanced English skills and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and VBA.

Responsibilities For Energy Management Portfolio Engineer
- Execute Short-term Forecasting by analyzing market data and running simulations
- Execute company's sales Strategy of wholesale Day Ahead/Intraday/Balancing Power Markets
- Monitor real-time marketplace for optimal reaction
- Conduct hourly purchase and sales transactions
- Monitor dispatch operations results
- Monitor contractual arrangements and market conditions
- Develop scenarios for market outcomes
- Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports on market results
- Communicate information to internal and external parties
- Improve market models and algorithms
- Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements For Energy Management Portfolio Engineer
- BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Applied Economics
- 2-3 years of relevant working experience in Electric Power sector
- In-depth working knowledge of Statistics & Technical Analysis
- Advanced level of English
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and VBA
- Strong analytical skills
