Description For Robotics engineer - Intern

Emesent, a world-leader in drone autonomy and LiDAR mapping, is seeking an enthusiastic Robotics Engineer Intern to join their Autonomy team in Brisbane. This paid 6-month internship starting October 2024 offers hands-on experience in developing automated tooling for test data analysis.

The role involves working with cutting-edge robotics technologies at their Brisbane CBD Head Office, where you'll be part of a 100+ strong team of roboticists and engineers. You'll contribute to developing tools that automate the analysis of large data sets, optimizing workflows during testing and deployment.

Emesent's flagship product, Hovermap, is a smart mobile scanning unit combining advanced collision avoidance and autonomous flight technologies. It's used for mapping hazardous and GPS-denied environments, serving various industries including mining, infrastructure, and surveying.

The ideal candidate should have a background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering. Technical skills required include Python, C++, and ROS, along with strong problem-solving abilities and experience with large datasets.

Requirements For Robotics engineer - Intern

Python
