EMW, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Security Engineer specializing in Identity Management (IdM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for their NATO-related operations in Mons, Belgium. This is a contract position running from May 26, 2025, to December 31, 2025, requiring NATO SECRET clearance. The role involves managing NATO-wide PKI infrastructure, including registration authorities, virtualized environments, and hardware security modules. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in PKI systems, strong knowledge of cryptography, and expertise in both Windows and Linux environments. This position offers an opportunity to work on critical security infrastructure supporting NATO operations and exercises. The role requires 100% on-site presence and may involve working outside normal hours to support operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional to work with advanced cryptographic systems and contribute to international defense infrastructure.
Responsibilities For Engineer (IdM/PKI)
- Manage the NATO wide NPKI Registration Authorities
- Manage PKI virtualize and hardware infrastructure
- Manage and control lifecycle of end users and devices certificates
- Manage all NPKI Windows Servers, RHEL and VMware environment
- Manage NPKI Hardware Security Module (HSMs)
- Manage Card Management System
- Create NPKI related guidance and procedures (SOP)
- Deliver 2nd and 3rd level technical support
- Manage NCIA ITSM ticketing system
- Handle certificate creation and Smart Cards enrolment
- Support NATO exercises and missions
- Supervise PKI systems operations and management
- Install and maintain NPKI components
- Perform Certificate Authority components Log analysis
- Maintain system documentation and regular patching
Requirements For Engineer (IdM/PKI)
- Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Extensive knowledge of modern communication and IP-based networking technologies
- 3 years extensive experience with PKI System development, design, management
- Extensive knowledge of Information security and Cryptography
- Experience in Windows Servers, RHEL and VMware system administration
- Knowledge of computer and communications security principles
- Experience with SQL database administration
- Experience in operating systems backup and restore
- Experience in scripting (Python, Powershell)
- Experience in SSL, TLS, and OpenSSL
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Excel
