EMW, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Identity Management (IdM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for their NATO-related operations in Mons, Belgium. This is a contract position running from May 26, 2025 to December 31, 2025, requiring NATO SECRET clearance. The role involves managing NATO-wide PKI infrastructure, including registration authorities, virtualized environments, and hardware security modules. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cryptography, system administration, and security protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work on critical security infrastructure supporting NATO operations, requiring both technical depth in PKI systems and broader knowledge of security principles. The role demands hands-on experience with various technologies including Windows Servers, RHEL, VMware, and security protocols. The position requires 100% on-site presence and may involve working outside normal hours to support operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional to contribute to international defense infrastructure while working with advanced security systems.
Responsibilities For Engineer (IdM/PKI)
- Manage the NATO wide NPKI Registration Authorities
- Manage PKI virtualize and hardware infrastructure
- Manage and control of the lifecycle of end users and devices certificates for all NPKI CA's
- Manage all NPKI Windows Servers, RHEL and VMware environment including systems error log verification
- Manage NPKI Hardware Security Module (HSMs)
- Manage Card Management System
- Responsible for Entrust sub components connected to the NPKI CA
- Responsible for the creation of NPKI related guidance and procedures (SOP)
- Responsible for the delivery of 2nd and 3rd level technical support
- Certificate creation and Smart Cards enrolment
- Supporting all NATO exercises and missions
- Installation and maintenance of NPKI components
- System documentation and regular systems and applications patching
Requirements For Engineer (IdM/PKI)
- Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- 3 years of specific experience
- Extensive knowledge of modern communication and IP-based networking technologies
- 3 years extensive experience with PKI System development, design, management
- Extensive knowledge of Information security and Cryptography
- Experience in Windows Servers, RHEL and VMware system administration
- Knowledge of computer and communications security
- Experience with SQL database administration
- Experience in operating systems backup and restore
- Experience in scripting (Python, Powershell)
- Experience in SSL, TLS, and OpenSSL
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Excel
