Description For Associate Product Development Engineer

Endomag, a pioneering medical device company based in Cambridge Science Park, is seeking an Associate Product Development Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge implantable medical products that deliver real clinical benefits to patients.

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you'll work directly with the Implantables Engineering Director and collaborate closely with the CTO, Engineering Teams, and Quality and Regulatory Groups. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design and development of innovative medical devices, generating and testing concepts, and ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 standards.

The ideal candidate will bring up to 2 years of technical product development experience, preferably in medical devices, along with strong technical skills in CAD, FEA, and mathematical analysis. You'll be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from initial concept to verification and validation, while working within our ISO-certified quality management system.

Responsibilities For Associate Product Development Engineer

  • Support engineering design and development of new medical device products
  • Generate and test concepts and designs
  • Support development of design requirements and documentation
  • Support risk management activities according to ISO14971
  • Develop and execute verification and validation test procedures
  • Work in a team environment

Requirements For Associate Product Development Engineer

  • Degree in physical sciences, engineering or closely related field
  • Up to 2 years' experience in technical product development role
  • Experience in iterative design practices
  • Technical experience in CAD, dimensioning and tolerancing, FEA, modelling
  • Experience in writing technical documentation
  • Experience collaborating with external consultants and suppliers
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with medical device regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Must have full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
