Principal Hydraulic Engineer

EnerMech, a leading specialist engineering services company, is seeking a Principal Hydraulic Engineer to join their Engineering team in Aberdeen. This role is part of the Cranes & Lifting Engineering team, offering an exciting opportunity in a growing and dynamic environment.

As a Principal Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, focusing on the delivery of hydraulic work scopes. Your expertise will be crucial in designing solutions to meet client needs within a collaborative team setting. Key responsibilities include detailing work scope methodologies, providing and reviewing drawings and calculations to support designs, and managing project variations and risks.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in hydraulics or mechanical engineering, and/or be a chartered member of a relevant institution such as IMechE, IMarE, or IET. Significant experience in a senior hydraulic or mechanical engineering role within the infrastructure, pharma, or energy sectors is essential. Proficiency in executing engineering calculations using tools like MathCad, Matlab, and 3D modeling and simulation software is required.
