Description For Project Engineer

EnerMech is seeking a Project Engineer for a permanent position based in Luanda, Angola. The role involves delivering efficient and on-time projects while maximizing potential for EnerMech. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project deliverables and budgets
  • Coordinating engineering and other functions for project delivery
  • Performing onshore and offshore site surveys
  • Leading site work scopes as a responsible project engineer
  • Managing project documentation, including tenders, costings, and work schedules
  • Ensuring materials, personnel, and equipment are fit for purpose and available
  • Managing and reporting on project costs
  • Drafting and issuing project change documentation
  • Identifying and managing project risks

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Higher National Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (Engineering degree preferred)
  • Valid OGUK Survival and Medical certification
  • Project management qualification (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-discipline teams
  • Experience in managing complex projects in the energy or infrastructure sectors

Responsibilities For Project Engineer

  • Deliver efficient and on-time projects as assigned
  • Manage project deliverables and budgets
  • Coordinate engineering and other functions for project delivery
  • Perform and lead site work scopes
  • Manage project documentation, including tenders, costings, and work schedules
  • Ensure materials, personnel, and equipment are fit for purpose and available
  • Manage and report on project costs
  • Draft and issue project change documentation
  • Identify and manage project risks
  • Contribute to multi-discipline project teams
  • Manage communication with 3rd party suppliers, subcontractors, and EnerMech service departments

Requirements For Project Engineer

  • Higher National Diploma in a recognized and relevant engineering discipline
  • Valid OGUK Survival and Medical certification
  • Engineering degree or similar qualification (preferred)
  • Project management qualification (preferred)
  • Experience in delivering work scopes from initial inquiry to final account
  • Ability to perform onshore and offshore site surveys
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project documentation and cost management
  • Ability to identify and manage project risks
