Description For Senior Crane Service Engineer (Onshore)

EnerMech, a leading specialist engineering services company, is seeking a Senior Crane Service Engineer (Onshore) to join their team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. This role is part of the Cranes & Lifting department and is a full-time, on-site position.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting lifting equipment. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overseeing the operation of various crane systems and heavy equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with HSSE requirements and regulations
  • Diagnosing defects in machines and heavy equipment
  • Repairing and replacing damaged parts
  • Performing routine maintenance and overhauls
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
  • Managing a team and maintaining a good working environment

Requirements for this role include:

  • A BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Detailed knowledge of overhead crane maintenance and associated systems
  • Upper intermediate level English proficiency

Responsibilities For Senior Crane Service Engineer (Onshore)

  • Follow and comply with all HSSE requirements and regulations
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
  • Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
  • Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment
  • Prepare equipment for RoK related inspection and arrange required paperwork
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on components after failure
  • Manage the team and ensure the working area is in good condition

Requirements For Senior Crane Service Engineer (Onshore)

  • BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent diploma
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience
  • Experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting lifting equipment and accessories
  • Familiar with testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification
  • Detailed knowledge of overhead crane maintenance, including crane rails, associated lifting equipment, hooks, ropes, motors, engines, moving parts, trolleys, crane hydraulic system, crane electrical systems, limit switches etc.
  • English proficiency in verbal and written communication, upper intermediate level
