Description For Data Engineer (Integration Specialist)

Enroute is seeking a Data Engineer (Integration Specialist) to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring that various databases, software applications, and systems are properly interconnected using a range of integration methods including RESTful APIs, file transfers, and message queuing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data integration technologies, cloud services (especially within the Azure ecosystem), and expertise in implementing scalable, efficient, and secure integration solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing data integration strategies
  • Performing data mapping, transformation, and data cleansing activities
  • Collaborating with data architects and other stakeholders
  • Identifying and resolving data integration issues
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to data integration processes
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on data integration plans
  • Ensuring adherence to data security and privacy regulations
  • Maintaining knowledge of latest data integration tools and technologies
  • Performing regular audits to ensure the integrity and quality of integrated data

Responsibilities For Data Engineer (Integration Specialist)

  • Design and implement data integration strategies
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and data cleansing activities

Requirements For Data Engineer (Integration Specialist)

  • 5+ years of experience using cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) for Data integration or data engineering purposes
  • 2+ years must be with Azure cloud
  • 5+ years of experience using an OOP language such as C/C++, C# or Java to build and maintain RESTful APIs
  • 2+ years must be with C#
  • 5+ years of building data pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Spark, Airflow
  • 2+ years must be in one of the following: Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of C#/.NET
  • Proactive approach to maintaining data quality and reliability
