Description For Fullstack/ Backend Software Engineer, Employee Experience

Envoy is transforming modern workplaces for hybrid work and safely bringing people together so they can connect, collaborate, and thrive. We are looking for a senior engineer who is capable of being fullstack but is excited to be backend heavy in their work. This role is part of the core features team for Workplace, which is ultimately responsible for this product's success and failure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help scale the Employees product used by tens of thousands of people daily
  • Design core frontend and backend software components
  • Drive ambitious system design and architecture
  • Lead engineering projects to completion
  • Be an advocate for quality and ambitious product goals
  • Focus on end-user experience

Tech Stack:

  • Kotlin and Ruby on Rails for backend
  • Ember, React, and Typescript for frontend
  • Postgres for database
  • AWS for infrastructure

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • BS / MS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving organization
  • Passionate about product and working with Enterprise-sized businesses
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  • Enthusiastic about learning and growing at Envoy

This is not a remote position. The ideal candidate should be excited about working in-person with peers in the San Francisco HQ, with a hybrid work environment requiring presence in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday).

Envoy offers a competitive compensation package, including market competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, and great benefits. The expected cash compensation for this role in the San Francisco/Bay Area is $170K-$190K (Annually).
