As a mid-level engineer, you'll be responsible for preparing standard operating procedures, conducting hazard analyses, and providing technical consultation on various aspects of energetics handling and testing.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of relevant experience and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Your role will be crucial in supporting R&D operations, ensuring safety protocols, and contributing to material characterization efforts. The position offers hands-on experience with sophisticated mixing operations and explosive materials characterization.

Responsibilities For Mid-level Energetics Engineer
- Prepare standard operating procedures, safety documentation, and technical reports for mixer operations
- Perform basic calculations for process chemistry and equipment configuration
- Participate in hazard analyses of R&D operations
- Provide consultation for mixing, safety testing, and explosive characterization
- Aid in energetic material characterization efforts
- Support mishap or incident investigations
- Share knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste procedures
Requirements For Mid-level Energetics Engineer
- Master's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Energetics/explosives handling experience
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Competence in spreadsheet and database software
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
