Description For Process Engineer

Eriez, a global leader in separation technologies established in 1942, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will promote innovative and unconventional mineral processing solutions for the global mining industry in a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a technical consultant to international customers for Eriez' flotation equipment
  • Managing flotation testing programs at Eriez' global flotation laboratory
  • Participating in pilot-scale test programs at customer sites
  • Supporting North America aftermarket services
  • Determining flotation flow sheets and circuit configurations
  • Preparing process engineering deliverables for capital equipment orders
  • Assisting with product development and commercialization efforts
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals
  • Contributing to technical papers and presentations

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, or materials), familiarity with mineral processing concepts (especially froth flotation), and industry experience through internships or co-op programs. Strong computer skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. The position may involve up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities For Process Engineer

  • Technical consultant to international customers for Eriez' flotation equipment
  • Manage flotation testing programs at Eriez' global flotation laboratory
  • Participate in pilot-scale test programs at customer sites
  • Inspect equipment installation and participate in start-up and commissioning duties
  • Support North America aftermarket services
  • Determine flotation flow sheets and circuit configurations
  • Prepare process engineering deliverables for capital equipment orders
  • Assist with product development and commercialization efforts
  • Assist in preparation of technical and commercial proposals
  • Assist in preparation of technical papers and presentations
  • Domestic and International Travel (up to 25%, at times for up to 2 weeks)

Requirements For Process Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, materials, etc.
  • Familiar with mineral processing concepts (especially froth flotation), practices, and procedures
  • Industry experience in an engineering and/or operations role gained through an internship or co-op program
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Autocad
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to communicate in other languages is an asset (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.)
