Reporting to the Technical lead, we are seeking Software Engineer 3 with a good background in building high quality web applications on the Microsoft technology stack. You will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing applications. This includes the maintenance and promotion of department coding standards and naming convention. Contributing to the creation of project delivery timelines will be a key responsibility by providing technical insight and participating in estimation sizing discussions as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Design
- Design applications according to end-user needs based on discussions with your SCRUM Team
- Track projects, tasks, and bugs using the company-specified work tracking system
- Understand requirements from a business perspective and contribute to designing clear, easy-to-use applications
- Software Engineering
- Create new applications or build upon existing ones
- Work closely with team members to develop the best possible solutions
- Improve functionality, user-friendliness, and presentation of Euromonitor's technology solutions
- Engage in independent research and technical discussions
- Ensure high code quality and test coverage
- Liaise with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and customers
- Contribute to BDD/TDD/DDD practices
- Participate in peer programming and code reviews
- Product Testing
- Ensure compliance with end-user specifications through regular reviews
- Conduct code reviews to identify bugs and performance problems
- Maintenance/Support
- Monitor, analyze, and act on post-deployment bugs
- Review user feedback and implement action plans for development
- Provide support to end-users of the applications
- General
- Contribute to training team members on agile development practices and design principles
- Take technical ownership of projects/tasks
- Write concise documentation for applications and websites
