Software Engineer, Text Transformers

The Text Transformer team is looking for a backend-focused Software Engineer to join in making LLMs more accessible and mainstream to the rest of our engineering teams. This person will join a multi-disciplinary team working at the intersection of programming, LLM integration, and iterative experimentation.

What you'll do:

• Spearhead the design, development, and optimization of robust, scalable systems for deploying pioneering algorithms based on large language models.
• Engage actively throughout the project lifecycle, taking full ownership from inception to deployment.
• Grow as an engineer by working with world-class peers on varied and high impact projects.
• Work with internal engineering customers to understand and address new requirements.
• Implement robust, maintainable code in a modern tech-stack including Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and other technologies.

What we look for:

• Extensive experience building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in developing high-quality software, delivering production-ready code, managing infrastructure, and crafting RESTful APIs.
• Clear, structured thinking and a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Startup experience with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Python or other programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++.
