Quality Engineer II

Everbridge, a global provider of critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer II for a remote position based anywhere in New Zealand. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of Travel Risk Management, Safety Connection, and SaaS-based Critical Event Management platforms.

As a Quality Engineer at Everbridge, you'll be an integral part of an engineering team, collaborating closely with team members to embed quality best practices into the application development process. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, extensive experience in Quality Engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with engineering and support teams to drive quality commitments
• Building and executing API and GUI tests, both manually and via automation scripts
• Writing and executing test plans for new features and applications
• Tracking issues and working with developers to identify root causes
• Generating and analyzing test reports
• Performing quality inspections of test and development artifacts
• Driving quality control around CI/CD pipeline processes
• Providing technical guidance to developers on quality tasks
• Fostering a culture of quality within the team

Required skills and experience:

• 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automated testing environment
• 2+ years of experience with automated testing using Python (preferably pytest framework)
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
• Automated and manual GUI testing experience (Python with Selenium)
• Automated and manual REST API testing experience
• Automated and manual mobile app testing experience (Android and iOS)
• Database query or scripting experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline and build tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, Helm, K8s, Salt, Terraform, Redis)
• Strong understanding of QA methodology and Agile Software Development Lifecycle
