Description For Security Engineer

Everbridge is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to strengthen their Security Operations and Incident Response capabilities. This remote position, based in Hungary, offers an exciting opportunity to join their Cyber Intelligence Centre/Security Operations team. The role focuses on enhancing global information systems security and implementing swift responses to potential threats.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer

  • Manage daily operations of security technologies
  • Design, implement, and manage automated security processes for cloud infrastructure
  • Develop automated playbooks and alert triage systems
  • Identify and address automation gaps
  • Collaborate with SOC, IT, DevOps, and Engineering teams
  • Create dashboards and reports for security performance metrics
  • Maintain and evaluate security automation tools

Requirements For Security Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in Cybersecurity
  • Experience with security automation tools, CI/CD, Terraform, SIEM platforms

  • Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, firewalls
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipeline (gitlab, GitHub)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in security monitoring tools
  • Experience in building automated incident response playbooks
