Senior Data Reliability Engineer

Everbridge is seeking a Senior Data Reliability Engineer to join their Database Reliability Engineering team. This role is crucial in ensuring the overall service quality and availability of Everbridge's solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operational availability, security, performance, scalability, efficiency, monitoring, instrumentation, integrity, and overall service reliability of Everbridge's data tier.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on designing and implementing highly reliable data solutions
• Developing automated tooling and processes to enhance operability and self-service of the data-tier
• Embracing Database Reliability Engineering principles
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for production escalations

The role requires:

• 3+ years of experience in production database and site reliability, database administration, dev-ops, or SaaS Technical Operations
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Elasticsearch, MongoDB
• 3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• 3+ years of coding experience in at least one programming language

Bonus skills include experience with AWS RDS, Snowflake, DBMS performance tuning and scaling, database health monitoring, relational schema design, and NoSQL schema design.
