Responsibilities For FinOps Engineer
- Identify and implement cloud cost savings opportunities
- Create dashboards and analysis for cloud costs using tools like Azure Cost Management
- Define and implement resource tagging best practices
- Provide technical consulting on cloud cost optimization
- Manage FinOps projects and customer relationships
- Perform financial and data analysis
- Implement automated tools for managing underutilized resources
Requirements For FinOps Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Experience with Cost Analysis Tooling (Azure Cost Management)
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or Terraform
- Experience with FinOps principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Leadership experience as subject-matter expert
- Understanding of cloud architectures
- Financial analysis and reporting skills
