Extreme Networks is seeking a Senior Database Administrator/PL/SQL Developer to join their team in a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on managing and optimizing Point of Sale (POS) systems and database operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, database administration, and integration technologies. You'll be responsible for maintaining database performance, ensuring data synchronization, and supporting both users and developers. This position offers an opportunity to work with modern technologies including REST APIs, Informatica Cloud, and potentially Snowflake. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in database management and problem-solving skills, making it ideal for experienced database professionals looking to work with enterprise-level systems. Responsibilities For SR PROGRAMMER 9588- Database Administrator- PL/SQL Developer
- Development and enhancements related to Point of Sale (POS)
- Understand and own the POS Processes and its Development and Optimise database performance and efficiency
- Understand the impact of the POS Process in downstream systems and work with other IT teams
- Monitor DB jobs and alerts including on-time refreshes and scheduled jobs
- Maintain synchronization between e2open and POS DB with related feed ins and feed outs
- Execute regular database maintenance tasks including defragmentation, backups, and replication
- Support Sales Rep assignment for unallocated Orders and handle duplicate commission positions
- Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues
Requirements For SR PROGRAMMER 9588- Database Administrator- PL/SQL Developer
- 5+ years of experience in IT
- Strong experience in SQL (Oracle or ANSI SQL)
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
- 1-4 years of experience in Informatica Cloud or 2+ years experience in power center
- Strong experience in REST API and handling json/xml data
- Experience with DBA case tools and third-party tools
- Ability to use scripting languages (Python or Perl)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in SNOWFLAKE Datawarehouse is a plus
