Sr. Systems Engineer LA/MS

Extreme Networks, a global leader in cloud-driven networking solutions, is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for the LA/MS region. This role is an integral part of the Sales Account Executive team in a Pre-Sales capacity, supporting a Regional team. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible, and willing to work outside their comfort zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Pre-Sales team in designing, planning, and implementing Secure Network Solutions
• Provide consultative support for pre-sales, partners, and customers on Extreme Networks Solutions
• Present at trade shows, seminars, and oversee internal demonstration facilities
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations to all levels of management
• Provide educational training on leading-edge technologies and Extreme Networks products

Requirements:

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience
• Expert in networking technologies with competitive Network industry knowledge
• Proven ability to influence new customer decisions and displace competition
• Thorough knowledge of security design features and ability to implement and analyze network security
• Hands-on experience with security-related toolsets
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills in network environments
• Excellent interpersonal, technical presentation, and communication skills
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Network Certifications desired
• Willingness to travel within the region up to 60%

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of two or more networking technologies, including:
  • Network Access Control (NAC)
  • Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS)
  • Convergence
  • Wireless; WAN
  • IPv4/v6 Routing Protocols
  • Layer2 Switching
