Extreme Networks, a recognized Technology Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, is seeking a Virtual Systems Engineer for Pre-Sales in Southern Europe. This role is part of the Virtual Systems Engineering (VSE) Team that supports Virtual Account Executives and Partner Account Managers. The position offers an exciting opportunity to join during a period of transformation and growth.

The role involves providing technical leadership and pre-sales support across France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. You'll be responsible for conducting technical meetings, delivering presentations, and demonstrating solutions to customers, partners, and distributors. The position requires expertise in networking solutions and cloud architectures, including experience with major cloud platforms.

As a Virtual Systems Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in bridging technical and sales aspects, working closely with inside sales representatives, field teams, and marketing departments. You'll contribute to educational initiatives, participate in R&D feedback processes, and help maintain high technical standards across the organization.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in networking and cloud technologies, excellent communication skills in multiple languages (Spanish, French, and English), and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive environment. Responsibilities For Virtual Systems Engineer: Pre-Sales Southern Europe

  • Conduct technical meetings with Distributors, Resellers/Partners and customers
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to Inside Sales representatives
  • Deliver technical/sales presentations
  • Assist with proof of concepts
  • Support educational efforts through classroom and remote webinars
  • Work with Corporate and Field Marketing teams
  • Participate in R&D feedback process
  • Provide technical design assistance for networking solutions
  • Maintain product knowledge through training
  • Collaborate with peers within EMEA

Requirements For Virtual Systems Engineer: Pre-Sales Southern Europe

Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of Network and Cloud technologies (Routing, Switching, Wireless, AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Fluent Spanish, French, and English speaking
  • Team player mentality
  • Ability to work outside normal 9-5 working hours
  • Bachelor/Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Telecommunications or equivalent experience
