As a Machine Learning Engineer on the Data Science team, you'll be at the core of Fairmatic's mission to make roads safer. This role combines the excitement of working with cutting-edge AI technology with the meaningful impact of improving road safety. You'll be developing and productizing machine learning models for predicting claims frequency and severity, while also working on innovative GenAI services.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a global team of technologists and problem solvers, backed by $88M in funding. You'll be involved in every aspect of the ML lifecycle, from experimentation to production deployment, working closely with data scientists and product teams to create solutions that directly impact fleet safety and customer experience.

Responsibilities For Machine Learning Engineer

  • Develop, train and operationalize models that integrate with the product
  • Work on GenAI services from ideation to deployment
  • Identify new features and ensure data quality
  • Analyze data to identify patterns or anomalies
  • Develop platforms for experiments and model deployment
  • Develop APIs and ML libraries for service integration
  • Contribute to engineering best practices
  • Work with data scientists to improve model performance

Requirements For Machine Learning Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Software Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in Machine Learning with production-grade ML systems
  • Proficiency in Python with ML frameworks (scikit-learn and pandas)
  • Experience with cloud frameworks (AWS sagemaker) and MLOps tools
  • SQL query writing skills
  • Knowledge of HTTP APIs and containerized environments
  • Strong math, probability, statistics, and ML algorithms understanding
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-driven with ability to work independently
  • Experience working in global teams across different time zones
