The role provides extensive hands-on experience in multiple areas including bicycle and pedestrian planning, access and circulation studies, multimodal operations assessments, and transit forecasting. You'll be involved in creating design drawings for bikeways, traffic signals, street lighting, and roundabouts, while also contributing to climate action plans and transportation demand management.

As a new team member, you'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training and mentoring, gradually taking on more responsibilities. Within your first year, you'll work with various team members, use technical software programs, prepare deliverables, and begin managing small projects. The position offers excellent growth opportunities through exposure to both planning and engineering project work.

The ideal candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, genuine curiosity about transportation challenges, and strong analytical skills.
