Description For Analytics Engineer

Fetch, America's Rewards App, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our team. As an Analytics Engineer at Fetch, you'll play a crucial role in our data-driven platform that has delivered over $1 billion in rewards to millions of users.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Modeling and analyzing data using SQL best practices for OLAP/OLTP query and database performance
  • Leveraging tools like Data Build Tool (DBT), Snowflake, Airflow, and AWS infrastructure
  • Generating innovative approaches to datasets with millions of daily active users
  • Translating business requirements into data models for near-real-time actionable insights
  • Communicating findings to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Managing administrative duties for Snowflake, Tableau, and DBT/Airflow infrastructure
  • Testing, monitoring, and reporting on data health and quality
  • Leading data documentation and discovery initiatives

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of performance optimization
  • Experience with data modeling and orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with various data stores (e.g., Snowflake, MongoDB, S3, HDFS, Postgres)
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and BI tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with DBT or Airflow in production environments
  • Knowledge of cloud resources deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in at least one imperative programming language (e.g., Python)
