Description For Director, Architecture

This is an end-to-end Technical Solution Architecture role within the Cash Solutions domain at Fidelity Investments, one of the largest FinTech companies globally. The Director of Architecture will work across multiple product areas, collaborating with business and technology leadership to define architectures, roadmaps, and blueprints. The role involves all aspects of architecture including infrastructure, data, security, resilience, and integration in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in engineering web applications, with expertise in solution architecture, AWS cloud computing, event-driven architecture, and full-stack development. They should be familiar with frameworks like TOGAF & Amazon Well-Architected Framework and have experience with various architecture styles such as SOA & Micro-Services.

Working with 2-4 scrum teams, this role is crucial in delivering technology products that align with Fidelity's business vision. Responsibilities For Director, Architecture

  • Define interim and target architectures
  • Create roadmaps and blueprints
  • Work on infrastructure, data, security, resilience, and integration
  • Partner with business sponsors and product owners
  • Mentor engineers throughout the process
  • Drive standardization across technology stack
  • Coordinate with product owners across enterprise
  • Support 2 to 4 scrum teams

Requirements For Director, Architecture

Java

  • 6+ years experience engineering/developing web enabled applications
  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with SOA & Micro-Services
  • Experience in AWS cloud computing environments
  • Experience with event-driven, serverless architecture
  • Experience in full-stack development of N-tiered applications
  • Experience developing applications using Java / .NET, and Angular
  • Working knowledge of TOGAF & Amazon Well-Architected Framework
  • Working knowledge of SDLC including test automation and CI / CD
