Principal Architect

Fidelity's Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Technology team is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the enterprise in crafting a modern, digital API ecosystem. The role focuses on exploring new frameworks, technologies, building PoCs, and implementing solutions in cloud environments. You'll work closely with architects to understand standards and contribute to strategic roadmaps.

Key responsibilities include coordinating multiple development work streams, creating Integration & API common frameworks, defining Java development best practices, and delivering integration capabilities. The role involves supporting API migration to Kubernetes/Azure, performing code reviews, and providing mentorship to junior team members.

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of development experience in Java, Spring MVC/Core, and REST services, with knowledge of API management software and cloud platforms. You'll need strong leadership skills and the ability to articulate Integration & API strategies effectively.

Impact includes establishing an API marketplace for Fidelity and trusted external partners, implementing consistent standards for API development, and driving new API products in the marketplace. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and directly impacts Fidelity's customers through continuous innovation.
