VP, Engineering - GenAI Technology

The Advanced Strategies and Research (ASR) Quant Development team within Fidelity's Asset Management Technology group is seeking a highly motivated VP of Full Stack Engineering. This role focuses on building foundational platforms and services that enable GenAI applications for investment management. The position involves partnering with technologists and business partners to tackle complex problems at the intersection of software development and artificial intelligence.

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on technical leader with experience in developing teams and scalable solutions. Key technical requirements include expertise in distributed systems, microservices, event-based services, data pipelines, and orchestration. Strong knowledge of Python, AWS, containerization with Kubernetes, and various database technologies is essential.

The role requires deep expertise in GenAI applications, including experience with state-of-the-art LLMs from providers like OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic. The candidate should have a strong background in combining symbolic, logic-based representations with informal, text-based domain content to solve business problems.

The Quant Development team is part of Asset Management's Quantitative Research & Investment Technology group, working on cutting-edge projects including systematic investment strategies, portfolio construction, risk management, alpha research, and generative AI.
