Senior Mobile Software Developer

Financeit is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Developer to join their team. As a point-of-sale financing provider, Financeit serves some of the largest home improvement and retail organizations in Canada. Their platform helps businesses close more sales by offering customers affordable monthly payment options for big purchases.

The ideal candidate will have native experience in mobile app development, not just hybrid apps. This role is crucial in shaping the future of Financeit's mobile apps, working closely with the frontend guild to determine the optimal path forward.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Delivering new features, fixing defects, and improving the existing codebase
• Helping design the mobile app architecture for long-term maintainability
• Engaging in the development of mobile and web applications
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to gather and understand requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in native and hybrid app development (iOS and Android, specifically Swift and Kotlin)
• Good knowledge of accessibility and mobile performance
• Minimum 3 years experience in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (using frameworks like Tailwind, MUI, React, Svelte, or Ember)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Commitment to Agile principles
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Ruby on Rails, and Ember is a plus
