Fire Alarm & AOV Service & Maintenance Engineer

Fire Design Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm & AOV Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team based in Greenhithe, Kent. This role primarily involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm and smoke ventilation systems across various client sites, mainly in the London area, with potential for nationwide travel and overnight stays.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with specific knowledge of fire alarm systems and smoke venting systems. You'll be responsible for identifying and rectifying faults, recommending actions for faulty or redundant systems, and ensuring all systems are maintained to the highest standards in line with BS5839, BS5266, and BS7671.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Fire Alarm and AOV systems
• Providing comprehensive service to customers in accordance with British Standards
• Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota
• Working from schematics and drawings
• Fault-finding and problem-solving
• Liaising with on-site personnel, property managers, and various departments
• Completing necessary administrative tasks, including daily reports and timesheets

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering background
• Knowledge of BS5839, BS5266 & BS7671 standards
• Understanding of smoke venting and fire alarm systems
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Valid driving license

We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000, negotiable based on skills and experience.
